The feats of Christmas, with its commemorative message, and the advent of the New Year, with its promise of hope, give us the opportunity to embrace, albeit close, albeit far. Virtuality allows for this.
We feel ourselves, from the depths of thought, true human beings. We pause. Grudges are forgotten, selfishness is ignored, envy disappears. But, also, the memories arrive, the Christmas that was not shared with the forgotten ones, with those who have little or receive nothing.
Christmas brings that message. The New Year, a better dream. We want to be brothers in justice and peace. God wants to make it so. For us, humans, it is the task that must be fulfilled for reality to be certain and true.
It is Christmas now. Let us reflect on its significance. It will be the best present. 2022 shows us the face of hope. One and another feast that remains in our daily lives. The world and men and women, children and adults, want that gift, which, not by asking too much, can be impossible. It is in us that we do not lose the healthy, peaceful and free rebellion, against all that is inhuman.
