The Latin American Federation of Banking, Insurance and Related Services Workers (FELATRABS) declares that, according to the information received from our affiliated Organizations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the freedom, trade union autonomy and human rights are being violated by arbitrarily detaining trade union and social leaders.
We demand immediate compliance with Convention 87 of the International Labour Organization, ratified by that country, as well as respect for Human Rights that could have been violated against said leaders.
Faced with such facts; we immediately request the release of all the leaders who, in their struggles for better socio-labour conditions, have been unfairly detained.
